What's Included: admission to the welcome reception, along with the following for the day on which you are registered: admission to all sessions, refreshment breaks**, and lunch (only on Wednesday and Thursday)**. A shuttle will be provided for overseas delegates between the hotel and the conference venue each morning and evening. Registration for multiple days at the one-day registration fee is permitted. Early-bird discounts do not apply to one-day passes.

* Students must present valid I.D. to qualify for the student rate.

** Complimentary Registration does NOT include lunch or refreshment breaks. Meal passes may be purchased for CI $15/day for those who qualify for free conference registration (STEM Student Ambassadors, Public School Teachers, and Seniors 60+).

One or Two Sessions Only

(for Students & Private School Teachers)

We recognize that Students and Private School Teachers may not be able to attend a full day of the conference, but may still wish to attend one or two sessions. We are pleased to waive the conference registration fee for Students and Private School Teachers wishing to attend just one or two sessions. Please note that lunch and refreshment breaks are NOT included - meal passes may be purchased for CI $15 per day.

If you wish to attend one or two sessions only, please register by emailing Ms. Kristel Sanchez at events@ucci.edu.ky (please indicate which session/s you plan to attend and how many students, if any, you will be bringing with you).

 

Complimentary Registration

(for Public School Teachers and Seniors 60+)

Public School Teachers and Seniors (60+) receive complimentary registration for the conference. Includes admission to all sessions, welcome reception, and conference kit. Please note that lunch and refreshment breaks are NOT included - meal passes may be purchased for CI $15 per day.

STEM Ambassadors

Every year, the STEM Conference sponsors 5-7 students from each of the schools to attend the entire conference for free. Schools must nominate representatives who posses the following:

  1. Passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
  2. Willingness to learn
  3. Excellent communication skills
  4. An enquiring mind
  5. A sense of creativity and resourcefulness
  6. Must be in Year 10, 11 or 12

Exploring Facts vs Fiction

Opening Reception and Keynote - October 9

The conference opened with Adam Weiner's keynote on the Real Life Science of Superheroes.

 

Day 2 - October 11

Students participated in hands-on sessions such a lionfish dissection.

 

Teachers' Twilight Sessions - October 8, 10 and 11

Educators participated in professional development sessions that will help them enhance Cayman's classrooms.

 

Day 1 - October 10

A plenary on Esports set the tone for a high energy day.

Day 3 - October 12

Experts engaged STEM Ambassadors during the speed mentoring session.

 

Family Fun Afternoon - October 12

Schoolchildren enjoyed various exhibits and demonstrations.
